RyzoroAuditBot
RyzoroAuditBot is the website audit tool used by Ryzoro LLC, a web design and local SEO agency in Laughlin, Nevada. If you found it in your server logs, here is what it is, what it does, and how to control it.
What it does
RyzoroAuditBot visits a website to check it for technical SEO problems. That includes broken links, redirect errors, missing page titles, and pages that search engines cannot reach. It reads pages the same way a search engine would, then reports what it found.
Why it visited your website
There are two reasons RyzoroAuditBot visits a site:
- You are a Ryzoro client. We audit client websites to find and fix problems that hurt search rankings.
- Local market research. We review the public websites of local businesses to understand common technical issues in the markets we serve.
Either way, it only reads pages that are already public, and you can block it at any time using the steps below.
How to recognize it
Every request it makes uses this User-Agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; RyzoroAuditBot/<version>; +https://ryzoro.com/bot; hello@ryzoro.com)The <version> part changes as the tool is updated. RyzoroAuditBot never pretends to be Googlebot, a web browser, or any other crawler.
How it behaves
- It follows your robots.txt. Pages you disallow are not visited.
- It is slow on purpose. About one request every 3 seconds, one at a time. If your robots.txt sets a slower Crawl-delay, it follows that instead.
- It backs off under load. It slows down when your server responds slowly, pauses when your server says it is busy, and stops the audit if your server keeps refusing.
- It respects your security. It stops right away if it meets a firewall or bot check, and it never tries to get around one.
- It only reads public pages. It never submits forms, never logs in, never solves CAPTCHAs, and never visits WordPress admin, login, logout, cart, or checkout pages.
- It does not run nonstop. Each audit visits a limited number of pages, then ends.
How to block it
To block RyzoroAuditBot from your whole site, add this to your robots.txt file:
User-agent: RyzoroAuditBot
Disallow: /How to slow it down
To slow it further, set a Crawl-delay in seconds. This example limits it to one request every 10 seconds:
User-agent: RyzoroAuditBot
Crawl-delay: 10Changes to robots.txt apply to the next audit. No other setup is needed.
